We are fortunate to gather some of our closest friends and family members. Thank you for making the trip to the South of France. It means the world to us.

Our Story

“ELAINE, You were always following me. Don’t ACT like you were about to swipe right.”

Elaine grew up in Hong Kong. Davin grew up in Chicago. On paper, two people couldn’t start further apart. And yet, the cities kept trading them back and forth, as if working toward something bigger. During college, Elaine spent a summer living and working in Chicago, just as Davin had packed up and moved to New York City. Then Elaine moved to New York City for a summer, living blocks from Davin’s apartment, just as he had left for Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, Davin was on the verge of being sent to Hong Kong for work, but then Covid hit, and those plans fell through; only for Elaine to return home to Hong Kong to be with family during the pandemic.

Every near-miss. Every closed door. Every city, every timing, every choice—all of it conspiring.

“I’m sorry I’m so late. thanks for waiting for me. Did you know Joe Biden is in LA?”

On their first date, Elaine and Davin quickly bonded beyond those funny coincidences; their lives had so many similarities that the conversation lasted for hours. Between taking shots of soju, they sprinkled stories about their lives. Two soulmates catching up on lost time between their last life together and this one. By the end of the evening, they realized they had forgotten to eat dinner entirely and in true Los Angeles fashion ended the night by eating street tacos.

“I’ll call you.”

Since that evening on June 10, 2022, the conversations haven’t stopped. In fact, their first couples song was “Late Night Talking” by Harry Styles. Over time, the two slowly began to integrate their lives into one: introductions to childhood friends and family, leaving a toothbrush at each other’s apartments to moving in with each other, getting a dog, and now jointly filed taxes.

“I Love you.”

Every choice led somewhere. And every somewhere led here.

We now have the unique privilege of bringing together a group of our closest friends and family to celebrate the life we’ve built and are building together. Every single guest carries a part of us and forms the mosaic of our love story. A beautiful, living and breathing collective that carries us forward through good times and bad.
